This blog features my Romanian explorations. If you have advice and tips, let me know.
Local launderette.
Rome? No, Timisoara :-)
The last sights of the Cerna Valey national parc.
Shepherds and their sheep or just a gathering of sheep.
But we did find some extremely remote villages, still inhabited, barely any roads worthy of that name. Stunning views again.
After Baia de Arama we were looking for limestone sights, a lake and a natural bridge in the Ponoare Lilac natural parc. None of which we found.
This place in Baia de Arama is truly the filthiest place I have ever eaten. Century old sweat, fat and dust covering everything.
Local wedding party.
I dont know where all the bears and wild cats are hiding, but apart from hundreds of wild dogs, this is the only wildlife thus far.
A local?
Between Targu Jiu and Severin you can find the Tismana monastery. Supposedly the oldest of Romania.
Some local transport options.
